Ambassador Ras Benard Benzima

Ambassador | Global Campaign for South Sudanese in Sudan

Ras Benard Benzima is a Ugandan who introduces himself as an ‘Africa Hip Hop Cultural Practitioner and Minister & Clinical Chaplain Pastoral-Psychotherapist’. He has dedicated over eight years to working with refugee communities across Uganda.

As the founder of Authentic Voices Africa, he leverages hip-hop, storytelling, and pastoral care to support youth and young adults in refugee camps and urban slums.

Through initiatives like the Hip Hop to the Refugee Camps project, Ras Benard collaborates with organisations such as Windle Trust International, Artolution, and UNHCR Uganda to address mental health, education, and community empowerment among displaced populations.

As an ambassador for the Global Campaign for South Sudanese in Sudan, Ras Benard brings his extensive experience in community mobilization and youth advocacy to amplify the voices of South Sudanese refugees and advocate for their rights and well-being.
