Urgent Update: Forced Deportations of South Sudanese from Sudan

In recent days, reports have emerged detailing the forcible rounding up, loading onto trucks, and deportation of approximately 3,000 South Sudanese—primarily women, children, youth, and the elderly—from Al Gezira State, Sudan. This mass expulsion follows escalating diplomatic tensions after the Kanabi massacre, where South Sudanese were ethnically targeted and murdered by the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and allied militias in Wad Madani.

The situation for the thousands still trapped in frontline areas like Khartoum is dire. Reports tell of shocking tales of executions and more at the hands of both the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and SAF.

In a 6-part series recently published by this through the Global Campaign & Emergency Humanitarian Response for South Sudanese in Sudan – Act4SouthSudanese.org, voices from inside Naivasha Camp in Omdurman detailing just one day of what they go through.

Similarly, several chiefs representing all the 3 Greater Regions of South Sudan appealed in a unified voice to all South Sudanese to hear their voices.

These people just need a way out, and The Global Campaign & Emergency Humanitarian Response for South Sudanese in Sudan has set up ways on how to help.
